Material Classification Of Flexible Wall Panels

Hybrid Structure: A hybrid structure is a building constructed with brick or block walls and reinforced concrete or prestressed concrete floors. Due to its simple construction and low cost, it is the most widely used structural form; however, it has a relatively high self-weight and poor earthquake resistance. To improve its seismic performance, reinforced concrete structural columns, also known as seismic columns, are added at the junctions of interior and exterior walls and at exterior wall corners. These structural columns are connected to the ring beams of the floors and roof to improve the overall integrity, strength, and deformation capacity of the building. If the walls are constructed with hollow blocks, reinforcing bars can be inserted into the through-holes in the blocks, and concrete can be poured into these holes to form reinforced concrete columns, further increasing the building's earthquake resistance.

Prefabricated Large-Plate Structure: A prefabricated large-panel structure is a building structure assembled from precast concrete wall panels and floor slabs. It is a highly industrialized building structure system developed after World War II. Its main advantages are that it can be commercially produced, has high on-site construction efficiency, low labor intensity, lighter self-weight, and better structural strength and deformation capacity than hybrid structures. However, the cost is relatively high, requiring large transport and hoisting machinery, and the layout is not flexible enough. Wall panels are divided into interior wall panels and exterior wall panels according to building function. Interior wall panels are mainly used as load-bearing components and are made of a single material.
